We are busy. The holidays are in motion, and life can get frantic and stressful.
I encourage you, don’t neglect time to live in the love of God. Don’t forget His love, even when you feel distracted, unworthy, overwhelmed, or spiritually unplugged in the wake of obligations and activity.
Remember how Jesus sees us: “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). The scars of the cross and the marks of His passion are proof of His love.
We rejoice in His birth, yet remember why He came.
God longs to pour blessings into receptive hearts. He desires to lavish us with His holy gifts—the best of the season!
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him” (1 Corinthians 2:9).
The Lord wants to bring you into a love relationship that will enrich your life in ways you cannot even begin to fathom!
Ultimately, nothing is greater than love, and what you experience in a relationship with God will spill over into your relationships with others. When you know deep spiritual love, nothing else—not worldly appetites, riches, a busy social life, fun holidays, or success—can bring you the same sense of satisfaction.
When the psalmist wrote, “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want,” it was a revelation of who God really is and what He wants to do for us.
We can trust our Heavenly Shepherd to lead us into green pastures and clean, refreshing water to nourish our souls. He will set a banquet of blessings before us and comfort and protect us (see Psalm 23).
In the midst of hectic, busy lives, Jesus longs to call us away from the trivial into deeper communion with Him. “I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly,” He promised (John 10:10).
Doesn’t that amaze you? Life abundantly … plentiful, bountiful, more than enough, large, great, rich, lavish, productive, exuberant.
Would you describe your existence in those terms? Is life so full that you can apply those words to your daily living?
