“FOR WHERE TWO OR THREE ARE GATHERED TOGETHER IN MY NAME, I AM THERE IN THE MIDST OF THEM.” —MATTHEW 18:20
Do you ever feel isolated and alone, even in the midst of a busy life? We live in a culture so overwhelmed with information and technology that we are in danger of losing the personal touch of friendship.
We don’t even have to go to the store or mall to shop – a click on a web- site purchases and delivers what we need. We don’t have to talk to people in person; it can all be done (so we think) through technology.
Don’t get me wrong. I appreciate and use technology, computers, and smart phones as much as anyone. But they can’t replace true friends who can understand what you are going through. Friends who know your temp- tations, struggles, fears, and problems.
Friends with skin who can hug you and hold your hands in prayer.
The enemy wants to isolate you and get you alone but your Heavenly Father knows that is not healthy.
Friends with skin who can hug you and hold your hands in prayer.
Where two or three are gathered in My name,” He said. Only two—or maybe three—when we gather in His name, we are united. And what does He promise?
“I am there, in the midst.“
He is present.
The Lord is there! It’s not hard, He’s telling us. Start with two and watch what happens. When He sees that, it is a spark of heavenly unity through which He will bless us with fellowship and answered prayers.
Again, I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.” — Matthew 18:19
