Are you weary? Discouraged? Worn out? Here is what God promises you:

“But those who wait on the Lord

Shall renew their strength;

They shall mount up with wings like eagles,

They shall run and not be weary,

They shall walk and not faint”. —Isaiah 40:31

We can walk and even run, and God will sustain us.

Remember Moses and the Red Sea? Just as the Israelites were setting up camp by the Red Sea during their escape from Egypt, they looked up to see Egyptians marching toward them. Of course, they were afraid and cried out to the Lord.

“And Moses said to the people, ‘Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today’” (Exodus 14:13).

Be still and see what the Lord will do!

Then the Lord instructed Moses, “Lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.”

The sea miraculously parted! I’m sure the Israelites walked and ran as fast as they could through those parted walls of water. They must have felt like they were flying like eagles!

When we wait upon Him, we are lifted into His presence and heaven touches our earthly hearts. As our praises and hearts go up, His glory comes down to meet us, then lifts us up with Him.

We enter into His presence in a new way, in the secret place we’ve been talking about this week. The place where we are still and know He is God.

This is where we experience divine revelations, visions, and miracles, as we enter into His presence in a new and profound way. This is where we find the strength and courage to carry on.

You’re right on the edge.

Enter into the secret place and His love will overflow into you and out to the world. Be still and know He is there, waiting for you, wanting to bless and fill you with His love, comfort, power, and love.

This is where we find the strength to walk and yes, run through life without fainting, sustained by the God who loves us.
