“And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask Me for anything in My name, and I will do it.“—John 14:14, NIV
That’s a very bold statement. We can ask for anything and God will do it? Doesn’t that sound too good to be true? There is no catch. Just one condition.
“In My name.”
Can you pray for personal revenge, personal ambition, selfish desires, harmful intentions and lusts…or any cause that goes against God’s Word in the name of Jesus? The answer to that is, the prayer that can legitimately be said “in the name of Jesus” says in the end, “Your will be done.”
That prayer is always answered.
